YORK COUNTY — Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on I-83

YORK COUNTY, PA (August 19, 2025) — One person was killed and another was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 83 in York County early Friday morning, August 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Troopers said a sedan crashed in the southbound lanes in Newberry Township at 2:17 a.m. The scene is near the weigh station located between Exit 35, Route 177/Lewisberry, and Exit 33, Route 392/Yocumtown.

According to the York County Coroner’s Office, a man in his thirties died in the crash. His name has not yet been released. The other person was transported to the hospital, though their condition is unknown.
